This March, One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda took a week off due to a “sudden illness”. Today, it was announced that Oda has been admitted to the hospital. Moreover, the One Piece manga will be on hiatus for two issues. So according to Kotaku, Odacchi is in hospital right now and will stay there for the next two weeks. I’d recommend you to read that article because we’re also given a short information about Oda’s usual working day - which is insane. Odacchi, please tone down a bit. It’s no surprise you’re ruining your health when working so much… As much as I love all of your work and admire you for creating a world like One Piece, a world I can call a second home, you’re not doing anyone a favor if you put your health on risk. Your fans can deal with a break. So please TAKE a break.
I hope he gets better soon and stops working like a maniac. Personally, I would be absolutely fine with reading a chapter only every two weeks.
Oh god, I hope everyone understands. Because working like Oda does really IS insane. Rest well Odacchi.
Please get some rest Oda! We all love you so much and support you 100%
